Harvest on Fairfield

Today was as hot and sunny as August; it was easy to forget that we're deep into October. These window boxes on Fairfield Street were a beautiful reminder:

Squash, white and orange pumpkins, kale, white and orange chrysanthemums, 
and dramatic greens. Plus a garland of dark brown dried grass of some sort.

I'm not fond of chrysanthemums but they look great here.

If that didn't put you in the mood for a sweater, you're a hard case! Perhaps you ought to experience all this in person.
