My friend Robin, who runs a shelter in her house called Kitten Associates, has just installed a live cam in her foster room. Robin lives in Newtown, Connecticut; we adopted Harris from her and found a kindred spirit at the same time.
I've got another writing deadline and was planning to work all night, but I have gotten nothing done, thanks to Bunny (sleek brown tabby), Bongo (a ringer for Harris but with a nerve-damaged front leg), and George (looks like Possum when he's in his underwear — mostly white). As with all cat cams, it can be boring until it suddenly gets exciting.
In other news: while Toffee is interested in opera, he recently discovered Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and likes their cover of "Shout" so much that he can't help rocking along:

Time to go back to work, reading about a defunct Scottish country house... or maybe I should bake brownies again.
