Saturday on Chapin Beach

We rarely go to the shore on summer days; we don't enjoy baking and burning, or crowds. Beaches are more pleasant towards evening, or anytime in fall and winter, when we have them more to ourselves.

The water was warm enough for wading at Chapin Beach in Dennis last Saturday. It was a clear, crisp, day: warm in the sun, cool in the shade, and perfect for a leisurely barefoot walk.
