Fleeced Again

We heard a strange sound last night, and caught Harris in the act of stealing Lion's fleece blanket. Again. He was growling as he struggled to drag it from the office to the bedroom rug, where he likes to leave his stolen goods. Getting it across the living room took some doing. Here he is, taking a break:

Lion seems to accept Harris's need to take all of his stuff and doesn't mind a bit.

  1. My goodness, Harris certainly looks sullen and sulky in Lion's basket. (Even more so than in the "Boss Tweed" photo.) He seems to have given up on saintliness for the time being.

Did you ever figure out the perpetrator of the paper-pile-path?

  2. Lion, sweet innocence.

  3. We lost Luca today. He woke up at 5 a.m. begging breakfast, but by 5:30 a.m. was suffering. I fell and broke my shoulder this winter, but a friend drove us to the vet (Brian had left for school). It seems he had an aneurysm. He was just six years old. Your blog helps, and I'm so proud of you for keeping Lion, and soon, I want to be brave enough to adopt another cat.

  4. Dear MaineMom, I am so sad to hear about Luca, and very sorry for your loss. He was so young. And I think it's even more heart-breaking when it happens suddenly. I'll be thinking of you often, and I thank you for your kind words to me today, of all days, when you're going through so much. I hope you can find some comfort in remembering the life and love you and Luca shared. You were lucky to have each other. And I have no doubt that you gave him a great, happy, wonderful life. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
