After yesterday hit 80 degrees and we needed air conditioning in the car, I was pleased that today was much cooler, with a nippy wind. I gladly put on low boots, a turtleneck, and a fleece to go for a walk.
We were supposed to race around to open houses in four Boston neighborhoods and Cambridge today but we talked ourselves out of going to any of them, knowing we weren't likely to be smitten.
The spring real-estate market has been lively but we haven't seen much to our taste that we can afford. I remain hopeful. Something will come along for us, and I'll know it when I see it. And if it's meant to be, we'll get it.
Hot one day and freezing the next, with properties flying on and off the market just beyond our reach — spring is not one of my favorite times of year. I have to admit, though, that it isn't all bad when you can look up and see such wonders as this:
